Muthu Tharanga Sri Nilupuli - Sri Lanka

She has won quite a number of awards in beauty contests like the Capri Queen and Miss Sri Lanka contests. Her full name is Muthu Tharanga Sri Nilupuli Peiris...

Muthu as she is popularly known started her career as a dancer. She had her education at the Roman Catholic School, Kadawatha and finally at the Holy Family Convent, Kirimateiyagara. Having passed her Ordinary Level examination she joined "Channa and Upuli" where she went through the paces of oriental dancing. During the period she was dancing with Channa & Upuli's troupe a chance meeting with another student who came for the classes led her to the fashion world. She was then invited by Nilhan Seneviratne to take part in Tele-dramas' which brought her much fame and acclaim.

Her father is <> Mr. M. D. B. Peiris now in retirement and mother Mrs. Rita Juliet Peiris. She is the eldest in a family of two girls and her younger sister Harshini, is married to a businessman and they have two children.

Though Muthu Tharanga became popular through TV and modeling her first love is something else. She has studied under Maestro P. V. Nandasiri and her first love is to be a singing sensation. You got to listen to her to believe us. Hopefully in the near future we will make available couple of her songs on this site. She says she has no one special in her life but we have our doubts. Still an eligible lass!

Dilhani studied at St Clare's girls school ,Colombo. She is married to singer and actor Priyankara Perera son of famous singer Milton Perera. She has a son aged 13.Sinhala film industry slumped in the face of stiff competition from Bollywood and resurgence of Tele Drama industry. Dilhani is one of the few who contributed immensely towards keeping Sinhala cinema afloat. Her early roles were confined to commercial films. her ability to dance and her trade mark smile captivated the audiences. She is known as "SRI DEVI" of sri lanka, (Sri devi is a popular south Indian actress famed for her dancing). Her carrier hit a different trail with her role as an abandoned Tamil girl in the film "Me Mage Sandai" (this is my moon) by Ashoka Handagama. This serious role paved the way for other remarkable performances in "SUDU KALU SAHA ALU" (shades of Grey), "Mage wam atha" (my left Hand) and "Sulanga" (wind). She has also starred in several Tele Dramas of which "Maya Ranga" and "Meeduma" stand out. She plays a major role in the sri lankan movie star show "Ridee Reyak", which is a very popular annual event in sri lanka.

Oshadhi Hewamaddumage

After having acted in the teledramas, Pooja, Sudu Sela and Dedunu Palama, Oshadhi Hewamaddumage has made a name of herself by her outstanding performances in the drama field. However acting was far from her ambitions when she was growing up. “I became an actress by accident,” says Oshadhi.

Oshadhi who attended Visakha Vidyalaya as a student, never took part in any dance concert or stage drama while schooling.“Though I did not take part in concerts I liked dancing, which I did as a subject for my O/L,” she admits.

Commenting on the tele-series ‘Kawya’ in which she performed the character of Kawya, Oshadhi says, “It was a very innocent character just like the character Pooja which I acted for the teledrama ‘Pooja’. There is no difference performing a ‘ good ‘ character and an ‘ evil’ character”, she adds.

She was awarded with a Merit Award in 1980 for her role in `Aadara Geethaya’ directed by Amaranath Jayathilaka, Best Actress Award for H.D.Premaratne’s `Deveni Gamana’, the Presidential Award for the Up and Coming Actress in mid 1980s, Best Actress Awards for both `Sisila Gini Gani’ and `Podi Wije’. Sabeetha earned fame eminently in her career mainly for her enchanting acting in the Commercial films. Anarkali Akarsha Jayatilaka Sri Lanka

Anarkalli Akarsha Jayatilaka (born July 12, 1987) is a Sri Lankan actress. She started her career at the age of nine starring in cinemascope movies and several TV dramas.Anarkali was born and raised in the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo. She is an only child of parents who were both in the film industry. Her ultimate ambition is to become an Ambassador for UNICEF.

Acting at the age of eight, representing Sri Lanka at Miss World in 2004, being the youngest actress in the history of Sinhalese cinema to win the Most Popular Actress award and the being the Public Relations Officer (PRO) to the Foreign Ministry at the age of 19 are achievements that she truly grateful for.

She is the new face of Sri Lankan modelling. She is the ever beautiful Anarkali Akarsha, the gorgeous beauty icon that everybody’s been talking about in all corners of Sri Lanka.

Anarkalli is a person who likes to smile, she likes babies, puppies, ice cream… she loves talking on the phone.
